this video was no walk in the park. It looks less than optimal and is my first gig in Breda.

 

So on a saturday night i get a call from a friend asking whether I could come over and film in de graanbeurs. I had heard of the place but never really paid attention to it.

 

Normally I would not have been interested, and specially now that i had sold out all my gear. It just so happened to be that I had rented out some gear for a sunday shoot in Amsterdam. I told him since I already had rented out some gear, i might aswell head over there.

 

The gear I had rented was all gear for shooting during the day and it would be a real hassle shooting at night. I had to bump up my ISO to get anything out of that 100mm-400mm f4-f5.6 canon lens I was shooting with. 

 

At the end of the night he footage was mostly grainy but I managed to get some good shots by communicating with the light guy and synchronising some shots of the crowd which mind you, are certainly the hardest to obtain since the crowd is almost never well lit.

 

I'd say the post production was the biggest hassle considering most of the footage was unusable. But either way, had lots of fun experimenting with the gear and on the next day I was more than ready to shoot some great stuff!
